Sorry Keith - I should have clarified this better !
Indeed, KAT5 doesnt use IP - but my thinking was (if a little mysterious)
was using an additional run of cat5 to provide just the power (and it can
still deliver a standard network connection). So the cat5 runs for the
kat5 boxes are left alone - but now we can re-locate the psu in node0
I'll re-phrase it - can we use the product for pure DC power delivery for
the KAT5 units ? I dont want to have to site the DC PSUs locally.

NO! NO! NO!
KAT5 because is NOT Ethernet.
KAT5 does not encode video.
KAT5 does not compress video.
KAT5 uses the physical medium of CAT5 cable to carry 4 electronically
balanced signals from A to B. Because it carries 4 balanced signals it
uses
all 4 pairs in the cable so there is nothing left for anything else.
The unit you linked to will work fine for ethernet devices such as Access
Points, Network Cameras etc but NOT for KAT5.
