it's a brick built garage which is actually part of the house although
there
is no route into the garage from the house. It is wind and waterproof and
looking back over the temp log the lowest it got last winter was +1c. The
CH boiler is also in the garage. So as Mark said I suspect temp isn't
going
to be a problem. I think my concern would be dampness or condensation.

The garage is pretty secure and protected by the alarm but obviously not as
secure as under the stairs. However there are no windows in the garage so
I
doubt if anyone would know all that kit was there unless they saw it when
the door was open...

This is a totally "unqualified" reply....but I would think that
the kit
would keep the ambient temperature high enough to stop low temp/frost
issues.
Only issue I could see is if the garage is at all damp?
Oh, and insurance? Is it secure?

Rob
