RE: Re: [OT] BT ADSL warning
It rather depends on you point of view... Under Windows (about 3 years ago)
due to reliability issues, it lasted about a week before I went and bought
a
new ADSL modem/router....
However under Linux (as part of the IPCop firewall distro), it's given me
many months of rock solid service...
Also, on the BT front I recently upgraded to 1 megabit and as part of the
new contract, my original engineer install (which includes the faceplate
and
Frog/Stingray USB modem) has become my property. I have now officially got
a
wires-only installation and the modem is mine. It didn't stop BT sending me
the grey plastic bag to return the modem thought... LOL

Referring to the:
Green Frog
i.e. the green USB ADSL modem they supply to you.
I thought it was generally recognised as a piece of trash ...

Ho,
What piece of trash are you referring to?
