Would you really go CAT6 Chris? CAT5E supports Gigabit and - to be honest -
how many people who would be chucking CAT5/6 into their own houses would
actually observe the proper bend radiusses, pulling tensions etc. to even
do
the job properly with CAT5 let alone CAT6? (I wouldn't / haven't / didn't.)

My opinion is that CAT6 is an unnecessary expense ... CAT5E should be more
than enough and much cheaper per box.

However I wholeheartedly agree that fibre is unneccessary unless you
actually have a *NEED* for a particular useage of fibre.
