I saw a few weird ones today, showing the site to various friends and
colleagues - from very large areas (up to 10Km away) through to the
"can't find that mobile" message you describe...

The real point of the service is tracking where loved ones and business
contacts are rather than a "where am I" type service - despite
their
marketing bumph talking about "peace of mind about your loved
ones", I'd
think that the inaccuracy of the system would just cause more concern
than anything else.

In Manchester, you get:

mapAmobile could not locate your postition at the moment.

.....and yes, I do know how to spell position - they don't!  In my
mind a careless spelling mistake like that perhaps casts doubt over
their quality overall.

.....and anyway - I knew where I was before I started!
