Oh - and the GV650 deals with audio on-board. It has audio inputs
through the breakout connector unless you have the BNC input version -
in which case you need the audio riser card to go with it I think.

Subject: [ukha_d] Anyone using their Geovision kit yet?

I wonder if anyone here has got their CCTV setup with the Geovision
kit which was under consideration by a few people here.
I have a system on the test bench currently (waiting for additional
camera installs & cabling). The detect / record works fine and I
also have the webcam running OK. There are a couple of issues:
1- We (the office) bought the RFConcepts GV650 bundle for 12 cams
which includes the Real Time Display card and audio. Well... no
audio parts arrived with it, and the real time card does not work
with any system which has more than 8 cameras!!! The software gives
an error message to that effect on start-up and tells you that the
card will not be activated.
2- I have yet to find a way of getting the screens to display on web
page which is what I need for home use in order to monitor cameras
from touchscreens etc. The only is by invoking the webcam interface
from a browser. this also needs a password and login which again
makes it very unsuitable for touch screen use.

If someone else has managed to get more out of it I would be
grateful for any tips, or how to's.

Thanks
Keyvan
