Re: Air quality

If you want some air quality anecdotes try these,

The level of pollutants inside your car on the school run evety morning is
generally 10 times the concentration outside the car - hence it is
healthier
to walk.

The level of NOx generated by the burners on your cooker, in your kitchen
is
about 5 times that of the National Air Quality Standard for NOx - Cooking
can seriously affect your health !!

PM10's are the particulate that we measure for air quality purposes (10
micron particles) but the particles that cause the most damage to your
lungs
are PM2.5's. Unfortunately the Government doesnt want to measure these, as
all those nice lean burning diesel cars and efficient gas boilers that they
so like, tend produce carbon pariculates in this range. Sadly they wont
have
any choice soon, due to the changes in the EU Air Quality Directive !!
