3 ---- WHITE/GREEN
4 ---- BLUE/WHITE
5 ---- WHITE BLUE
6 ---- GREEN/WHITE
7 ---- WHITE/BROWN
8 ---- BROWN/WHITE
FOR STANDARD 10BaseT and 100BaseTx
ETHERNET PINS 1&2 (PAIR 2) AND 3&6 (PAIR 3) ARE REQ'D
RJ45 Plug Pin 1 is on left hand side with the latch facing down.

Yes, this latest stuff coupled with Umar's grief and Keith's response
which seemed to crack it........
Pin 1 to Pin 1
Pin 8 to Pin 8
Fine with that.
Now, what's all this about two of the pairs needing to be muddled up in
the middle?
And, IIRC there are two standards (A and B?) which are different.
So, starting with a blank sheet of paper (or more correctly a set of
empty terminals), which is the way to go -- which colours to which
pins??
