To connect analogue phones to a * box, you need an FXS card -
http://www.voiptalk.org/products/index.php?cPath=21_25
or one of these
http://www.voiptalk.org/products/product_info.php?cPath=37&products_id=74

To connect a * box to an analogue phone line, you need an FXO card
http://www.voiptalk.org/products/index.php?cPath=21_24
(cheap knock offs
available on ebay, I have one which seems to work fine... was < £20
IIRC)

At the moment, my playing with * has been with softphones running on a
couple of PCs and the aforementioned knock off FXO card to interface to
my analogue line. I really should try to find more time to play with it
but there are never enough hours in the day :/

Cheers
