Hmmm, maybe not ideal then. When you say connecting to a live feed, is
that from the same local network or across the web?

I wouldn't bank on it...
Bear in mind that the MV1000 is incredibly slow. I use one with
CamSurveillance for motion detection and it is able to retrieve one
frame
every 3-4 seconds (which it does by polling for a static image).
Connecting to the live video feed for any particular camera can take
minutes
and is not always successful.
