I just received this from Zen - it probably won't do me any good, but
anyone
near MK might benefit.

LONG REACH ADSL
Even when all the UK's telephone exchanges are ADSL-enabled, there will be
businesses and homes where broadband will remain 'just out of reach'.
Beyond
the current 6km line-length capabilities of copper-wired ADSL, Internet
users are usually told that relocation - selling up and moving on - may be
the only way to speed up their connection. But next month, following
encouraging results from re-evaluation testing at five exchanges around the
country, up to 1,000 BT line users in the Milton Keynes area will be able
to
trial 'Long Reach ADSL' - suitable for full broadband standard 512Kbps
services like ZenADSL Home 500 and ZenADSL Office 500. Any currently
ADSL-deprived readers in the Milton Keynes area who would like to sign up
for the trial can apply by e-mail (please include name, telephone number
and
post code) to mktrial@xxxxxxx
