Automating telephones

Hello,

I'd like to automate my telephones. I know many of you have HA
systems that announce the caller id and I know there are systems
which automatically disconnect withheld numbers or blacklisted
numbers. Can you tell me more? Can you recommend any software (I'm on
Windows BTW).

I know there is the meteor plug in that people swear by, but I think
they also swear at the price ;) Is there an online manual to tell me
more about it? Is there anything cheaper?

What modems are caller id capable? I tried to track down a pace from
ebay but managed to win one that didn't support caller id. I bought a
zoom from pc world after a post in the archives (and the box) said it
would work, but it doesn't; do I need to update the drivers or
something?

Some companies when you call say "this call may be monitored for
training purposes". Is there a way I could impliment this in my
office; so that when the phone is answered it records to the hard
drive, preferably in compressed format, but does so automatically?

Thanks,
Stephen.
