Gotcha. Makes sense now I think about it.

Indeed. One of the problems with my eclectic av setup is the disparity
between the speakers. Especially the output response with increasing
volume (when you turn the volume up, the centre get's louder quicker
than the rest of the speakers).

So who makes nice timbre matched AV speakers sets that include ceiling
mountable speakers?
