RE: New UKHA Offers - UP TO 50% OFF AT BATHSTORE

Those who are serious about buying from bathstore.com=20
They currently are running an Ideal Home Show Sale until 4th April. Various
ranges are discounted anywhere between 20% and 50%.=20
They don=92t seem to publicise this on the website. But the brochure I have
says the discounts are available at their 58 stores nationwide.

I can mirror Marks comments, I have a barn FULL of Sonance in-ceiling kit
and from the basic to the expensive its all excellent. If I remember
correctly Mark is using a SST range single speaker with dual tweeters for
stereo response, its an excellent unit and the stereo imagery is excellent
for a single speaker.

My biggest (And most expensive :-() units are the front channels in my
living room, I review them here
http://www.automatedhome.co.uk/article1278.html
for want of a better
description, they ROCK :-)

I also have an on-suite with Linn Sweetspot units and they are

g
in comparison to the Sonance kit

However they are very small, discreet and at low volumes are OK for
background music/occasional listening. But at =A3100 price tag you can do
s=
o
much better. And please don=92t expect a base response!=20

Sonance wins hands down every time in my book.

I've been using the Sonance in-ceiling stuff in my en-suite shower room for
a while now, and it's excellent.

It also has a high WAF, since the "old method" of listening to
the Rio in
the shower was to turn up the volume of the bedroom hifi to
"excessive".
Doing it with a separate in-ceiling means that I can mute the bedroom
speakers as I go into the shower, but still listen in directly.

As you know, I love the Linn stuff for music - I have a Wakonda, an LK85
an=
d
a pair of Keilidhs (driven by a Rio with a WAP11 as a remote bridge, of
course!)

Sadly, I don't rate their in-ceiling stuff at all. It's too tall (designed
for American houses with service voids between floors), and just doesn't
sound right to me :-(
