RE: OT : emergency - Hard disk failure
If so, its *sometimes* possible to swap the board on the HD with a
known-working unit... enough to spin the drive up and recover any data.
What caused the fault ? - has the drive been spinning for days on end
?....
a surge ? etc etc.
