RE: manage a database of recipes

I have a web based (asp & access) recipe database that I adapted from
http://www.ex-designz.net/recipemain.asp

I deleted all the recipes as some were irrelevant (Squirrel Pot Pie for
one,
muskrat meat loaf for another)

Amended the look and feel for my purposes: I had to write the search page
as
that wasn't included; took away the email to a friend; the possibility of
rating the recipe and a few other things I didn't want. I changed it from
the recipe being displayed in a text area so that I could include html
formatting for better printing... The next thing to do is have web based
html editing so that I don't have to put the html formatting in manually...

SWMBO wasn't impressed at first (doesn't take to all things digital until
she can see a benefit to her...) until she wanted to find her mums bread
pudding recipe... She had to phone her mum (again) for it, wrote it on a
scrap of paper... I pointed out the virtue of having a web based recipe
book
and strangely enough she went for it....

I'm very pleased with it... Just need a touch screen in the kitchen now...

Neil

She wants it to look something like the Sainsburys site where you can
search for
recipe's based on any ingredients (http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/ and
follow 'recipe search' ). I was thinking of Access as well!

I'm thinking PostgreSQL and a Perl based webface personally. </ex-access
