Yup ... That's what seems to have been the experience of people so far.
Just
one other comment - I heard something here about a wirewound transformer
not
working - well that's not to suprising as (also in our experience) the
wirewound transformers can basically break down when used on electronic
dimmers. Not quite sure why but it's something to do with the abrupt
voltage
changes when the mains is chopped on and off by the dimmer and seems to be
along the same lines as a speaker coil getting fried by an amplifier being
driven into clipping.
