For the most part, yeah - as long as you don't switch boot device types
(ie, SCSI on the old Mobo, IDE on the new), or Muli-proc architecture -
you can't just swap a dual cpu mobo for a single cpu one.

XP is stacks more forgiving about this than 98 ever was!!
