No, Des, no idea at all.
Well, maybe not no idea; there is one possibility, which is battery
recharge. If you have a 450VA UPS that on batteries runs for (say)
20 minutes, then the batteries are flat. When the mains reappears,
they need recharging. 450VA for 20 mins is (roughly, ignoring power
factor) 150WH, so to recharge the batteries, you need to put 150WH
back in, plus losses and inefficiencies, so lets say 300WH. In my
experience, most toy UPSs take a couple of hours minimum to recharge
the batter, which would be 150WH/2 = 75W consumption whilst
recharging, in addition to the 450W is 525W, still well short of 7A.

One of my pathetic story times. Many years ago I witnessed a robust
debate between someone who had excellent unix skills and (not to put
to fine a point on it) a tosser. Anyway, competent unix sysadmins
are not known for their tact, diplomacy or patience. Well, this
chap discretly pulled out a post-it note, inconspicuously
wrote "elbow" upon it, and with a great flourish slapped it on
the
tossers... elbow. The tosser of course grabbed the note and looked
at it, as did we. And much merriment ensued. BOFHs revenge on the
tosser.
Thats was a good day.
