RE: [OT] PQ Volume Manger for W2K Server
Paul,
Have you tried installing a copy of W2K workstation on the machine as well,
and running PM from that?.... I'm sure I've read in the past that although
the Powerquest software refuses to run under the server versions of the
OS's, it doesn't object just to the presence of an installation of it on
the
disk you want to modify, so various workarounds can usually enable you to
achieve the end result you want... these can include:
- Installing a workstation version in a dual-boot arrangement on the same
disk..
- installing the drive you want to modify as a slave in another machine
running workstation...
Of course things may have changed with more recent versions, so this may
not
hold true any more, but must be worth a try?
