Sound quality is just as good as any other MP3 player I've heard.
I don't know nayhting about Xlobby, so I can't comment on that.  I do know
that the Exstreamer is very easy to control either from a web page, UDP or
serial connections, so I'm sure it is possible to come up with something.
Take a look at the documentation on their web page - all the possible
commands are listed there.

Yes it does .. how is the sound quality that is outputed from the wired
version?

Are you able to replace their server software with something like xlobby?
or similar?
