Re: IR Receiver

Hi Mark,

I mounted one of them in the ceiling (pointing down) just drilled a
hole and tightened the bold from the back of the receiver - I stuck a
standard remote to the wall pointing upwards next to my light
switches.

This setup should be working for the bathroom (since all walls were
tiled from bottom to top I did not feel hacking my way through them
to integrate a real keypad + it's a lot safer in a bathroom this way.
(as a matter of speaking - safer all over the house since SWMBO
selected the tiles and I would not want a conflict there)

Once this is working I'll try to drill a hole in the bedroom TV to
mount the other one - alternatively I'll use it in the kithchen (same
tile problem)

I took a day off next friday to try to hook this up to a Xantech
4zone controller - wiring is already in place (I pulled some cat6 to
the attick lately so I'll have to use one of those to make it work).
