I have noticed a lack of isolation on a lot of these boards that have
popped out in this thread. I don't know whether Ian et al have thought of
this but it could be a false economy as a spike on the network may toast
your new creation. Ironically the component I am using to do this only
costs about 3 quid but is quite big (DIL14) and needs some more capacitors
(6 of, 3 of which are 1KV for spike protection). Minimal cost implications
but quite a lot of PCB area needed.
