RE: plasma



A lot of screens have 'hidden' engineer menus that show the on-time, number
of power cycles etc etc.  This is always useful in determining exactly how
'nearly new' a screen is.  I've just done a quick Google for NEC screens
and
turned up nothing, but I'm sure it's out there somewhere.  try asking on
one
of the DVD forums.

I've got an option on a 42 inch plasma screen.  Friend of my sister is
selling it.  It's a NEC 42 pd2.  Does anyone have one of these or know if
they are any good.  Also, not really knowing a lot about these screens, why
should a mug like me look out for if buying a 'nearly new' one ?
