Conversion is easy.

Snip out the capacitor.
Snip out the resistor if there is one there.

If there is a lightning arrestor in there you can leave that. the more
lightning protection you have the better.

BUT...

... that wont solve your problem. If you have continuous ringing you have
got 2&5 crossed somewhere or there is an earth on 3.
