LW10 + high voltage halogen!

I also would like to know about the LW10s! (wall switch dimmers)

my first question is, although they dont work with LV halogens, do they
work with normal 240v ones?

if they do my next problem is i want to drive 1000W of lights off one
switch, and they are only rated to 300W. Is there any way of squeezing a
higher wattage of drive out of them, or do I have to downwatt my bulbs?

if I do (and i expect i do!) does anyone know a cheap source of 30W GU10
240v halogen bulbs? they are about £4.20 each in B&Q in a 2 pack, and
I
need 10. £42 for the bulbs + £25 for the switch seems a bit pricy to me
:(

Thanks in advance,

Alistair
