I was going to say that you can't have downlights in your place, as the
void is to small. But this type will be gr8.

As for running the cables, the best way is to tie wrap them to the metal
brackets. Doing this will also ensure they are away from any screws that
miss the battens.

Thinking of installing a bunch of these in my vaults.
