There is a thread on the forum that talks about this possibility
(probability). The author seems to think that the alternative products are
way too expensive and hence he wrote this application so I expect him to
pitch in at a much lower cost than the obvious competitive target. He is
also aware that he has to be a little more polished appearance wise than
the
current version (eg screen layouts and documentation) plus of course very
stable and supported - hence the 'maybe/in a few months' comment.

I am well impressed though - and speedwise it really does deliver
when you have a very large music library which has been my problem to date
with the other solution. It's still not 'instant' but it is very useable.
Also works very well with the UK TV listings screens which James' xAP TV
generates.
