Probably not the answer Graham was looking for :)

Laser detection can be up to 2 miles away - the signal bounces from cars as
they are trapped - as long as you are not the first car to be trapped you
will have time.

Alternatively treat yourself to a laser diffuser - this will confuse the
nice policemans gun and give him an error reading. As long as you have a
switch to turn it off and slow down after its warning you'll be ok. Laser
diffusers are illegal though !

Thanks to all these great little gadgets i've still got a clean license -
which can be a bugger with the old car topping out around 175mph - but
never
on the highway of course ;)

The detectors can only go so far. Most mobile speed traps these days are
the laser ones and by the time they've detected it, it's too late,
they've got you.

If you're that close to your points limit, I recommend you don't speed!
