don't think so.. IIRC the 'new' driver software is/was a paid for upgrade
I'm 99% sure that if you haven't purchased an upgrade from Psion then 1.3a
is the one you need.
Sorry can't help with the XP SP1 issue :-S

The DabBar site has 2 version for download, one for the "old"
drivers and
one for the "new".
I've found an update of the original PSION software from v1.2 to v1.4, is
this the new version DabBar are referring to?
