Pretty much yes, the modules can (IIRC) store up to 63 scenes with one
reserved for "Off".

Yes, so one X10 command basically tells multiple devices to react and go to
the scene level of the particular one required. It's very cool to watch the
lights changing all as one group and very weird if you're used to the
traditional X10 way of things where one changes then the next etc.

It makes a massive difference.
