Sounds to me as things are more relaxed in Oz :-) My vote is we all up
sticks and move to Oz, guess though we'd have to all marry Frank for our
visa's though? Hmmmmm, potential side effects........ But hey the sun
shines
more....

In a brick wall theres it wouldnt be accessible ?? so theres no chance of
phyiscal contact ...

Whats the situation when wiring timber framed stud walls ...do you have to
use back boxes in that situation as well ?? Over here the sparkies just use
plaster brackets no back boxes....

Earth wire not required at light switches unless the plate is
metal.....Much
easier here to add an earth at a later date as most houses are not solid
brick........
