[OT] USB question

Just started messing about with some 802.11b wifi stuff.  I'm
debating letting my Nan leech some bandwidth off me over a wifi link
(she lives about 2 streets away, 300m as the crow flies in line of
sight).  I've been reading up on setting links up and the conclusion
i've come to is make 2 of these:

BUT, as they are USB I need to extend about 20m to get from the
rooves to the PC's... I know I can do this with USB repeater cables
but is there a way to send the USB signal over cat5 and then return
it to USB?
