Yeup - you are after a DAC (Digital to Analogue Converter).  These=20
are available but the ones I know of directly are at the expensive=20
end of hi-fi as they are a separation on the cd/dvd transport from=20
the usual integral DAC (or separation, as you note from the amp).=20=20

Typical brands at this expensive end are Meridian, Linn etc.=20=20

Just seen an Arcam Delta Black Box DAC on ebay (#821747768) for=20
=A310.50 with a couple of days to go.  Bit of a bargain under =A350.
