Cable Query - What Have I got?

Some time back (when building the house) we had wiring installed for
whole house audio. However we never got around to actually
installing and two years on, I'm reasurecting the project!

The wiring put in for the speaker runs looked at the time a bit
strange to me. However I was assured it was what they always used
(this was a pretty good hi-fi outfit). It is a four core cable with
two (gently) twisted pairs (black + red, and black + white), each
pair being screened with foil and a conductor. Markings are:

E51596 (UL) 22AWG TYPE CL3 OR CM --- LL31602 CSA TYPE CMG

And (most importantly) the casing is a rather fetching yellow!

I cant find much on the web on this type at all except for a
reference to this type of 22AWG twisted & screened cable being
"used
extensively in the instrumentation and audio field where the
individual screening of pairs reduces crosstalk".

So... Does anyone know what I really have here? Is it really a
speaker type cable (or can I use it for such). Is it possible that
this is really for balanced stereo (rather than the usual unbalanced)
and if so - how do I use it?

Thanks

Richard
