RE: Switch Fans - was Kiosk Touchscreens -CPU Fans

I'm pretty sure it's an FS516 that I have (can't be arsed to look to check
at the moment) - the two fans that are in it were labelled up as 5v units
rather than 12v so difficult to find replacements for but they just plug in
to a couple of headers on the board.

CPC do have some 5v 40mm fans and all I did was cut the cables for the
original fans and solder / heatshrink the new fans leads to the old
connectors. I'm pretty sure I got the MF6458566 units - they were the
"Super
Low Noise" version and they seem to do the job but I also found that
my 16
port at least would run quite happily *WITHOUT* fans - yes it got pretty
warm but it was running for months without 'em before I butchered the old
cables - I just removed the fans completely and let convection sort itself
out.
