You only need a xAP hub if you want to run multiple xAPApplication on
the same PC.

If you are only running HomeSeer on that particular PC, then you don't
need a hub.

However, if you also want to run, say, xAP-CLI or xAP-Homevision, on
the same PC then you need a hub.

Personally, I run Stuart Booth's hub (www.xapframework.net), since it
has the best debugging output for when I'm developing. That version,
however requires the .NET framework from Microsoft.

may be what you want - I deliberately want the GUI version.

The alternative is Patrick's (patrick.lidstone.net) which is much more
lightweight and works well. I started with that one and never had a
problem with it.
