extending DECT phone range

  • Subject: extending DECT phone range

The house we've just moved into has very thick walls that effectively
limit the range of my cordless phone to around 20m. I've looked at
a DECT "relay" box to extend the range, but being realistic I'd
like
more than one and I'm not going to pay £150 for each one.

I'd have thought there'd be some sort of solution like putting an
aerial on the roof and connecting the base station to it to give me
good coverage over the whole property.

Any ideas? Neighbours really aren't a significant issue here.

James
