Mark, you need to buy a propper inline lightning suppressor for phone
lines.
I had to install one when I set up my Met Office Spec weatherstation at
work. If I remember rightly it was an RS part and cost about 40 quid. As i
wont be going out to the site for a week or 2, I cant tell you off hand
what
part number it was.
