I have found that when connected to a PC running 24/7 they are reliable -
both for PC control and downloaded macros. To me it looks as if there is
an
issue with the un-terminated serial lead when disconnected that causes the
agro.

2p -> mine!

Simon,

The feedback we get suggests that:

- If connected to a PC all the time, with the PC running the macros, CM12Us
are pretty reliable.

- If running macros themselves (downloaded / fast macros), then CM12Us are
pretty flakey.

Rather than just a few people posting anecdotes, it might be worth a poll,
please Mr. Moderator:

I run a CM12U....

- with downloaded macros, and it's fine.
- with downloaded macros, and it's awful.
- without downloaded macros, and it's fine.
- without downloaded macros, and it's awful.

Mark, who runs Homesion anyway, Harrison :-)
