Graham,

As an extra to my other post (I just thought after i hit send) you
/could/ just get your friends to get a dyndns.org account and a client
that runs on their pc... that way you can remote desktop into a name
rather than a number (i am not a number - i am a FREE MAN! - (sorry)).
The name gets updated by client software that they run (in the
background) as and when their IP changes.
