The sensor detects presence rather than movement - I am checking with the
UK
people to be certain.  Connection to comfort should be via a standard input
port or a simple small relay and 10-30Vdc supply could be connected to the
output.  As long as you can access the sensor (mount it inside some sort of
plastic topped enclosure rather than in the concrete!) you do not need the
control box.  This seems to just allow remote programming when the sensor
(or rather the push-button and LED) is not accessible.

As far as price goes, each unit should be less than the cost of a Vehicle
Alert Console plus  Vehicle Alert Probe.

The  M-GAGE S18M Series looks interesting but will it detect a stationary
vehicle, the PDF seems to imply it does. How would you connect this to a
Comfort systems? Would you require their control box? If so then it would
probably get prohibitively expensive.
