Ahh... NT4... That takes me back

I havent tried it, but have you looked at dhcpcmd.exe in the NT4 resource
kit?

It's a command line dhcp management tool, and you might be able to script
something up using it?

I'll take a harder look meself tomorrow as no NT machines here now (and
w2k3
is a little too new to tell if its gonna work!)

Afternoon Gents'

Its that time of the day when I need to pose a question to the masses of
intelects;

We have 18 DHCP servers (nt4) and hundreds of scopes within each one... and
manually cross referencing the ip (2nd octet) with a list I have stuck on
my
desk, then opening that server, viewing the scope .. and then checking the
ip reservation.. can be a bit tedious ..

Is there a way I could cobble something together (in vb perhaps) so that if
I "ping -n 1 51.208.xx.xx" I can then obtain: which dhcp server,
and which
scope the IP add comes from ??

I hope this makes sense, and I know its old technology, but is there a util
/ command / app out there that would be able to help me ?

If anyone can offer any advice / (positive) thoughts it would be most
appreciated.

Thanks,
Jonathan.
