Hi!

Just thought i'd provoke some tired braincells!  There are quite a
few magnetic swipe card readers being sold on ebay at the moment for
less than =A320 each... they have an RS232 connection.  They output
ASCII code from any card swiped.  Could HV or any other controller
for that matter be programmed to open an electric lock if the
correct card is swiped?

Just a thought as it seems like a MUCH cheaper door access system
than comercially available ones!
