I suppose you are right but over the years, the series has shown all
extremes from true "owner-builder" all the way thru to this sort
of project.

How is a Self-Build defined? There are many projects where the owner hands
over the contract to a project manager/company and then moves in on
completion   - I think a reasonably broad definition may be "any
project
which is not built by a main contractor as a development and where the
owner
personally oversees the project design and progress"

or something like that at least!
