As ever, there's one key piece of advice on the "how much should I
spend
on
speaker cable".

Go to a dealer. Get them to demonstrate different cables on kit as
similar
as possible to yours, over a similar length run to the one you'll be
using.
If they won't do this, then find another dealer who understands customer
service.

Personally, I can very clearly hear the difference between bell wire and
79-strand on my kit... but have never really been able to tell the
difference between off-the-shelf 79-strand and more esoteric stuff...
BUT
...

... your ears will be different from mine
