If, that is, Jon has Exchange ;)

We actually have SBS 2K3, and although the Symantec product doesn't scan
th=
e server mailboxes, I don't see the need for the bigger product - any
attac=
hments that Exchange 2K3 doesn't like get dumped in the Quarantine area,
an=
d in the process of being written to disk, the server catches any nasties.

Anything that gets past that gets nailed by the Outlook plugin on the
clien=
t.

Either way, though: Symantec AV rocks.

I agree, but that version doesn't include protection for Exchange.

Make sure you either get the version that includes Antivirus for Exchange
o=
r the MultiTier version which includes it, both have a distributor cost of
=
about =A3260-280 (+Profit & VAT)

Heh: two identical answers in one day :)

Symantec Anti Virus Small Business Edition (assuming < 25 desks) v8.1
works perfectly on 2K3.

There's a bigger licensed version too, same great product.

The reasoning is simple: I found out about the Novarg (Mydoom) virus
when SAV popped up with a "virus detected" message in Outlook,
not when
it ate my PC alive.. and it's the same story for every major virus that
has come along so far! ;)

Ian.

What is the best virus software to use on Microsoft Server 2003?.

The software we currently have doesn't work/install on 2003!

Any suggestions.

Jon
