I use an unusual email client, called mulberry.

A few weeks back I just clicked "send" on an item, and a dialog
box
popped up, saying "Some words in the message being sent imply that
attachments are present, but none are.  Do you want to send this
message now without attachments?"

I though that was quite cool.
