I use an Extron MAV128 Video Matrix Switcher - 12 inputs (Composite and
ste=
reo) and 8 Outputs. While it is only composite, I use it for distributing
A=
/V to other receivers around the house - quality is great (I send the
signa=
ls via Kat5). Didn't need s-video, although Extron do several (all the way
=
up to YUV if you want) - but are much more expensive.

Couple of the great features are:

1) It's fully RS232 controllable - so my HomeVision unit controls it (no
IR=
though)
2) You get full 'breakaway' switching - so you can break the video / audio
=
inputs and send them to any output in any combination (effectively you can
=
also route extra stereo inputs if say, you had CCTV cameras with no audio
-=
the spare stereo inputs can be used for CD, MP3 etc etc)
3) It's fully amplified so you can route one A/V input to all 8 outputs
sim=
ultaneously with no quality loss.
4) also fully controllable from front panel buttons.

Cost me around =A31500 trade from RGB Comms.

Have a look at the extron web site.

Paul.
