RE: OT : Filtered Water Taps
We were looking around a house at the weekend (househunting), and the owner
had a water softener under the sink which supplied all taps (apart from
outside). It cost about =A35/pm to run, but I didn't see the make.
Out of interest, why do you not want it to all taps? I thought you got

bubbles and less scale with soft water if you have it on all taps? The guy
had me convinced to get one installed in my next house. My neighbour also
has one for all taps, incl. outside, and he claims that the cleaning the

is a lot easier due to the watermarks not being left.

Subject: [ukha_d] OT : Filtered Water Taps
Hi all
Hopefully someone on the group will be abel to help me.
We live in a hard water area and usually use a Brita Water Filter for=20
our drinking water. Now I am getting fed up of having to buy the=20
cartridges every month or so.
So basically I am looking for one of those systems that is plumbed in=20
to provide filtered drinking water that will not scale the kettle up.=20
Does anyone have any recommendations? I am not interested in softening=20
the whole supply;y as I like hard water to wash etc
Cheers
Ben
